The Story
The "Anonymous" Shopper Problem
The brand treated every visitor identically, showing the same homepage, offers, and products to everyone. This generic approach failed to create a connection or guide users effectively towards a purchase.
From Generic Storefront to Personal Shopper
- AI-Powered Product Recommendations: I implemented an AI model that analyzed user browsing behavior in real-time to power dynamic product recommendations on the homepage and product pages, moving beyond simple "people also bought" logic.
- Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO): We used AdCreative.ai to generate personalized retargeting ads. A user who viewed blue cushions would see ads featuring those exact products, not just a generic brand ad.
- Personalized Exit-Intent Offers: We used AI to predict which users were about to leave the site and triggered personalized exit-intent pop-ups (e.g., a small discount on a cart item, a free shipping offer) to recover potentially lost sales.
Core Challenge
A promising DTC brand had good traffic but a low conversion rate. Their "one-size-fits-all" website experience led to high bounce rates and an average cart abandonment of 78%.
