Jagannath is an exceptional leader and mentor who has had a profound impact on my career. When I joined the organisation as a fresher with little understanding of the corporate world, he was the one who guided me through every step with patience, encouragement, and clarity. His ability to motivate and bring out the best in people is truly inspiring. Jagannath not only helped me understand the technical and professional aspects of the job, but also instilled in me the confidence and mindset needed to grow in my career. His mentorship laid a strong foundation for everything I’ve achieved since then. I will always be grateful for his guidance and support during the early days of my journey. Jagannath, you are one of the key reasons I am where I am today. Thank you for being such a positive influence.

I had the opportunity to learn from Jagannath Sanyal during my Digital-culture and Marketing course, and looking back, his classes truly stood out as some of the most engaging and impactful ones in my academic journey. He had a unique way of making complex topics enjoyable and relatable. One particular activity he conducted in class encouraged us to step outside the regular presentation and explore the real world — it sparked curiosity in a way that very few courses manage to do and also taught a lot about group work . What made an even bigger difference in my life, though, was the support he offered outside the classroom. When I was preparing to apply for internships, I was honestly quite lost — unsure of where to begin, what kind of roles I should aim for, or how to even present myself professionally. Professor Jagannath went out of his way to guide me through it all. He helped me polish my CV, gave me advice on the kinds of internships that would suit my goals and skills, and walked me through how to approach interviews with confidence and clarity. After all these efforts what stood out to me was that he never made it feel like a favour. He was always approachable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping me grow. He was someone I could turn to for honest feedback and practical guidance, and that kind of mentorship is rare and incredibly valuable. Even now, I look back and feel grateful for his support during such a formative time. His mentorship has had a lasting impact on my confidence and career direction, and I feel fortunate to have learned from someone so dedicated and thoughtful.

Professor Jagannath Sanyal — without a doubt, the best mentor I’ve ever had. Professor Sanyal has an extraordinary ability to guide students with wisdom, empathy, and patience. What makes him stand out is not just his deep knowledge of the subject, but the way he makes learning feel approachable and relevant to real life. He creates a classroom environment that is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally supportive — a rare and valuable balance. He has this calming presence that instantly puts students at ease, even during the most intense moments of academic pressure. His mentorship extends beyond textbooks; he helps you navigate challenges, stay focused on your goals, and think with clarity. His ability to connect academic concepts with real-world situations not only makes the material more engaging, but also prepares you to think like a true professional. Beyond being a brilliant educator, Professor Sanyal genuinely cares about his students’ growth. He listens, encourages, and always finds time to provide thoughtful guidance. Thanks to his mentorship, I’ve gained not just academic insight, but a more confident and mature perspective on both career and life. Any student who has the chance to be mentored by him should consider themselves incredibly lucky. I’m grateful for everything he’s taught me — and even more grateful for how he made me feel supported along the way.

I had the pleasure of taking Prof. Sanyal’s Digital Culture & Marketing course at KEDGE Business School in Marseille, being a stimulating and enriching learning experience. The class offered strategic depth and practical relevance, covering topics such as the Internet of Things, SEO, digital customer journeys, and data-driven marketing, all presented with clear real-world context. A memorable highlight was our group project on Airbnb’s marketing strategy. Prof. Sanyal gave thoughtful feedback on both content and presentation, showing us how to craft well-structured, compelling slides (a skill I still apply today). I am glad I had the chance to attend his course because it helped me shape the way I approach digital strategy and communication. So all I can say it's a big thank you, Professor Sanyal!
